HOW TO GET TO C-ACE 2007 The Best Western Victoria Suite is located at 377 O'Connor at the corner of Gladstone, a few blocks from the 417/Queensway and near the Canadian Museum of Nature (the big castle-like structure). NOTE: We highly recommend that US citizens travelling to C-ACE have a valid passport with them to cross both borders. It will be mandatory for air travellers. By Car: Locally: Take Highway 417/Queensway to downtown.
From East of Ottawa - Montreal, rest of Quebec, Maritimes: Make your way to Quebec Highway 40 West, which turns into 417 West, exit at Metcalfe/Catherine and follow the directions above (“from the east”). From South and West of Ottawa - Toronto and southern Ontario: Take Highway 401 East until Prescott. Take the 416 North to Ottawa. Follow directions for the 417 East. Exit at Kent and follow directions above (“from the west”). From Eastern NY, Vermont: Take I-91 (to Quebec Highway 10 West), I-89 (to Route 133, Highway 35 to Highway 10 West) or I-87 (to Highway 15) until you hit Montreal proper. Cross the Champlain Bridge. Follow directions to Highway 20 West to Highway 13 North to Highway 40 West, which becomes Ontario Highway 417 West. Follow directions above (“from the east”). From Western NY: Make your way to I-81 North, crossing the Thousand Island Bridge to Highway 401 East. At Prescott take Highway 416 North to Highway 417 East and follow the directions above (“from the west”). If not using the hotel garage ($11.95/day), you can check this local parking map for open-air parking lots and street parking meter locations. Lots vary in price. Meters are usually 2 hours max ($2/hour) and free from Friday 5:30pm to Monday 7:30am. Certain areas are less recommended and indicated on the map. By Intercity Bus: The hotel is only 6 blocks from the Greyhound Bus Terminal, making it an attractive option for budget-minded con-goers. Taxis cost around $5.00, or you can walk or take OC Transpo bus #4 on Kent street (at the side of the terminal) for 3 stops to Gladstone and Bank, one block before the hotel. By Train: The VIA train terminal is not far from downtown; taxis to the hotel average $15.00. You can also take OC Transpo bus #95 Baseline/Fallowfield/Barrhaven at the far platform, ask for Bank street. Walk one block left and take a #1, #4 or #7 to Gladstone street (ask the driver). Walk one block to your left to the hotel. By Plane: The Ottawa McDonald-Cartier International Airport (code: YOW) is served by most major airlines. A taxi ride will be approximately $30. The YOW Shuttle services the con hotel by request; rates vary from $14 for one person to $8 for three or more, leaving the Arrival area roughly every thirty minutes. You can also take OC Transpo bus #97 Bayshore to Bank street for $2.50 (ask for a transfer); walk left one block to the #1, #4 or #7 to Gladstone street; walk one block left to the hotel itself. By Mass Transit: The hotel is one block away from OC Transpo routes #1, #4 and #7 passing along Bank street, two blocks from route #5 passing along Elgin street, and route #14 drops you right in front of the hotel along Gladstone at O'Connor. You can take routes 1 4 and 7 at the Bank street stops of the Transitway (85, 86, 95, 96). Route 101 stops at Bank just south of the Queensway, 4 blocks from Gladstone.
